Candidate Finances

Candidate Campaign Contributions & Expenditures Reports

The Virginia Department of Elections maintains electronically filed campaign financial data for U.S. General Assembly and statewide candidates as well as any local candidates who opt for electronic filing. You can find additional information on these candidates at the nonprofit Virginia Public Access Project.

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) maintains electronically filed reports for federal candidates. The FEC’s federal filing schedule slightly differs from the Virginia state and local candidates’ filing schedule.

Following each report-filing deadline, the Office of Elections tries to provide online reports as soon as possible; however, their availability may be delayed by several days, depending upon the number of reports received. You can review or purchase hard-copy reports ($.15 per page) at our office during regular business hours (Mon-Fri, 8 am-5 pm).
